Friday Random Post!
Ok, todays Friday Random Post is about somthing unrelated to horse........ the Pack It Potty! How disgusting does that sound? If you said "really disgusting", that deosnt come close. Actually, "really weird" also fits. They have a website, but I will just put most of it here, and a link at the end for those who are "interested"..haha! Ok, here it is!(no offence to the product:
PACK IT POTTY
Pack It Potty is a lightweight, packable toilet system that will greatly enhance your Outdoor Comfort. Fast set up and take down plus endless adaptability makes it easy to use. It's washable so it's sanitary. Its light weight and small size will quickly put Pack It Potty on YOUR

Essential Gear List!
Some things that stood out to me on the list of things for the product:
Packable - stuffs small
like you'ed want THAT in your pack?ugh,no thanks!
Soft - uncoated and laundered seat feels great
mmhhmm.... I bet it does....when you're sitting on this
in the middle of the wilderness tied to a tree........ looks comfy, don't it? And I sure bet that seat feels great on mah butt!
Strong - tested to 220 lbs.
Wow! That makes me feel even better about using it! Even overweight guys or heavyweight champions can use it without it breaking! Now I'm interested!
Washable - gentle cycle then air dry
'ey, Jim Bob, won't that look good hangin' off the front porch or on the line we have ou' back?
And with that, goodbye, and remember, Even Ladies Love the Pack-It Potty!

Quote of the Week
We have a new thing that will happen every week! Its called Quote of The Week! Quotes will not always be by me, and I will post multiple quotes at times. This Weeks Quote of the week is:
Common Sense ain't so common anymore!
-shewhoruns
My boyfriend says if I spend one more weekend away riding that he'll leave me.....
Darn. I'm gonna miss him.
-unknown
and one more for this week(about a badly conformed and bred colored paint stud):
He would make a wonderful gelding, and if he were a sorrel or a bay, that's exactly what he would be.

Barbed Wire: the Bad, The Worse, and the Deadly/Update for Blog
Todays post is about Barbed Wire. Why would you ever use it? Even if you have lots of acres of it, at least redo a section for your horses. trust me. And never, ever keep a foal in it. I lost a filly to that in August of 09. Not a pretty thing. Here is a memorial vid that I made for her that explains it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9RKLgccyTY
Anyway, all barbed wire is not good to keep horses in, no matter the condition it is in or if all strands are barbed or just one strand is. Most big ranches keep their horses in it, but it is all mostly very well kept. Strong, high, and the horses stay with the herd and the food. 3 feet old spindly barbed wire is worse. Off course, this looks better:
than this(I have seen horses in this kind of fence):
GRAPHIC(this could be your horse, except injured and bleeding):
Of course, if you have a horse that you know won't ever try to get over the fence, yoi are better off, but a young horse, i think, is more prone to getting hurt*eye roll* than an older horses.
Thanks! Comment and spread the word about the She Who Runs with Horses blog! Also, thanks to Google Images for the pictures. We have a new thing that will happen every week! Losing Horses
There comes a time when all horses must go, and I'm talking about over the rainbow bridge, not being sold. I,sadly, have experienced this, because in August we lost a 1 and a half year older pretty paint filly to barbed wire(which will be in a later post). I hear a lot about how sad people are when they lose their horses, and I thought posting these few poems would console people(if i madeit i would say):
My time's come my dear,
As it comes for us all
Hug me close one last time
As I lay in my stall
I feel you shudder,
But there's no need to cry
I'll tell you the secret of why horses die
I got to a pasture that's
far away and above,
But know that we're forever
bound by our love
I'll make hoofprints to heaven
So you'll find your way,
Wear the path smooth to
keep you from wandering astray
I'll carry your guardian angel nearby,
With my wings wipe the tears from
your soul when you cry,
If you're ever alone,
Or your life's hard to lead,
Close your eyes and remember
Me, your eternal steed,
Who awaits, at the gates
to carry you home
So the last journey you make
Is not made alone
On my golden hooves we'll gallop,
And on silver wings fly,
Yes, this is the secret
Of why horses die.
If you have any more, feel free comments, actually, you MUST comment! hehe................
